A reminder that the Mid Winter Conference Early Bird Registration deadline is November 30. Registering by November 30, saves you $5. An information packet with registration form can be found at districte2.com on the homepage. Also, last year we had 45 Lions from our District attend. Let's try and beat that number this year. It is a great day of training, fellowship and fun.  Contact DG Steve Porenski if you have any questions!

Below is an e-mail that was sent on Nov. 4 from Lion Sam Hopper, Clara's husband.  Both are members of the Floyd Knobs Lions Club.  Lion Clara recently had recently had open heart surgery.

"Yesterday was a long day at the hospital.  The surgery seems to have went very well and Clara is in the 5th floor post-operative heart and lung care unit now with limited visitation.  The family got to see her for about 10 minutes at a time at three different times during the day and each time you could see her noticeable improvement.  If all goes well she will be moved to the 7th or 8th floor today, where she'll be in a private/semi-private room and longer visitation is permitted.  A five or six day hospital stay is expected."

Please continue to keep Lion Clara in your prayers as she goes through her recovery.
