No grape picking at Turtle Run Winery in Lanesville this Saturday, Aug 29. It has been moved back one week. So, picking scheduled for Sept 5 and Sept 12. This is a heads up about a grape picking opportunity in Lanesville, IN. Turtle Run Winery on St. Peters Church Road in Lanesville IN (accessible off of I-64) will need grape pickers when the grapes come in. They have agreed to pay Lions that work $8 per hour for their service.The money goes to the workers' Lions Club. A free lunch is provided. What a novel idea!  A "Duck Race."  Please see the info on our homepage from President Jerry Hill of the Winslow Lions Club.  The duck race will take place on Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Noon (est).
If you can't make the Duck Race on September 9th, you can send a check to Lion Jerry for the amount of ducks you wish to purchase.  Your Duck will have a number and if you win you will be contacted.

There are only 3 days left until our first Cabinet meeting at the HCCF building in Corydon, which will take place on July 25. Honorary Committee meets at 10:00 am edt, ZC Marvin Jenks talks about Community Action Plans at 11:00 am, Lunch is served at Noon ($7.00 and please RSVP your attendance intention to CT Phyllis Krush), Cabinet meeting begins at 1:00 PM. I have started this blog as a tool to help Indiana Lions in District 25-E2 know what is going in the district.  This blog will be among the other communications we use in the district.  My goal is to make this site a huge form of communication in our district.  I have worked very hard today to update all the our webpages.  All the pages, except for District Committees, have been updated and completed.  It seems as if the site is finally coming together.  I will hopefully complete the remaining page in the coming week.  Meanwhile, be sure to check out the pages I did complete.  My goal is to make this site a place you visit often.  You can find upcoming events and reminders, our current newsletter, contact information for our district leaders, and hopefully in the future much more.  Please add this site to your bookmarks and be sure to check back for new information in the coming weeks.
